Greetings from Fenwick Island

Hello from the beach! We left our cats in the care of our neighbor Rose and drove over the Bay Bridge and into Delaware, where we swam in the warmest Atlantic we've enjoyed in several years alongside many fish and sand crabs, got Old Bay nuts and fudge at the Seaside Country Store, and met Christine -- whose family has a beach house in Fenwick Island -- for ice cream and a nighttime walk to see ghost crabs, since the dunes are only a few yards away from our hotel. It's supposed to rain very late, but we had gorgeous, hot-but-not-too-hot weather, and there are lots of seagulls and sandpipers and no loud kids in the hotel pool at the moment. Maddy's sister Noelle got engaged a few hours ago, so it's a good family day all around! A few beach and shopping pics:
