Greetings from Lake Whetstone

My draft entry got eaten so this will be short; we're watching the end of The Two Towers, too, since we just watched Fellowship the other day, so I'm distracted, and it's very late because we Skyped our kids since they said late tonight was the best time -- sounds like things are calmer where they are, unlike in DC.

We had a nice Saturday, though it was very hot. I started scanning Now Voyager issues after trying to convert the original MS Word files without success. After lunch, we went to Lake Whetstone to see how the goslings had grown, and also saw ducklings, turtles, herons, and a sandpiper. Here, you can see the geese for yourself:
