Friday arrived as clear, cool, beautiful day. Unfortunately I had to spend most of it indoors doing various work, like posting a review of the animated Star Trek episode "The Survivor", which I'm pretty sure is not on anyone's Top Ten list though it's a pretty painless viewing experience. I had other chores, too, but I wound up chatting online with ethelking and celandineb and was slow and lazy all afternoon. And I posted some George VI stuff.

We had dinner with my parents, then came home and watched Date Night on HBO. Despite some predictable dumb jokes about women and not-gay panic, I thought it was pretty hilarious -- Tina Fey is adorable and the supporting players (Mark Ruffalo, Mark Wahlberg, William Fichtner, Mila Kunis, et al) are quite entertaining, while Steve Carell does his usual schtick well. Then we watched Camelot which I liked because Claire Forlani got so much screen time -- she's a much more subtle actress than Eva Green and it's a nice change.
