My Tuesday was a lot better than my Monday! Paul worked from home since we only had one vehicle, and after a morning of boring stuff, including a lunchtime visit from the plumber to find out how much it would cost to fix both the powder room and upstairs hallway sinks, we went to retrieve Adam from College Park at the end of his fall semester for what winter break he has before he starts his NASA internship. Then we picked up the car with its new brake pads from the dealer, picked up Madeline after work, and went to the Silver Diner so she and I could have our birthday month free dinner and dessert.

When we got home, we watched The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, which son had never seen and we hadn't seen in decades (and, you know, Jeff Goldblum). It was not as funny as I had remembered, and somewhat more incoherent, but it was still entertaining. Now we're watching some of the BBC's Doctor Who marathon and realizing we no longer remember the details of the late Rose episodes.
